*The Begataway award is an award given out to one player each year. It is the highest team award giving to a player. Players who receive it have shown exceptional skills at the game of lacrosse, leadership and most importantly demonstration the highest level of sportsmanship ship and honoring of the game. The award was created by the Vannais family. The Vannais family was instrumental in starting the boys lacrosse program at Holy Cross. The Vennais' and their boys have a long history of dedication to the sport of lacrosse and all that it stands for. Holy Cross is forever grateful to the Vannais family for their contribution to initiating boys lacrosse at our school.
